Miller discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan the organization of gas transit to Uzbekistan

Alexey Miller, Chairman of the 'Gazprom' Management Board, held a working meeting with First Deputy Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Roman Sklyar on June 29, the Russian company reported. "At the meeting, a high assessment was given to the course of development of cooperation. The parties discussed topical issues and prospects for cooperation, including in the field of transportation and gas supplies," 'Gazprom' writes. It should be noted that in mid-June 'Gazprom' and JSC NC QazaqGaz (formerly JSC NC KazTransGas) signed a contract for the provision of services for the transportation of Russian natural gas through Kazakhstan for consumers of Uzbekistan. At the same time, JSC "UzGazTrade" and LLC "Gazprom Export" signed a contract for the purchase and sale of gas for a period of two years. As part of the agreement, gas supplies in the amount of 9 million cubic meters per day are expected from October 1, the annual volume of the contract is 2.8 bcm. To ensure gas supplies via the Central Asia - Center main gas pipeline, it is planned to build new gas measuring stations on the territory of Uzbekistan, overhaul, and restoration work on 11 units of various gas pumping equipment, as well as the construction of 22 km of new main gas pipelines and repair of 56 km of gas pipelines
