Spain is more dependent on Russian LNG than other European countries

Spain, against the background of the sanctions policy of the West, turned out to be more dependent on Russian liquefied natural gas (LNG) than other European countries, writes 'El Confidencial.' The article notes that according to the results of a study by Enagás, the import of Russian gas to Spain increased from 8.9 percent in 2021 to 12.1 percent in 2022 and continues to grow. It is emphasized that in winter Spain's dependence on Russian gas increased to 18 percent. At the same time, Russia became the second LNG supplier to Spain after the United States (19 percent).
