An Azerbaijani parliamentary delegation headed by the chairman of the Milli Majlis Sahiba (also Sahiba) Gafarova visited Turkmenistan.

Then Sahiba Gafarova met with the Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Milli Gengesha Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov , with whom she discussed cooperation in achieving the global Sustainable Development Goals, youth policy and interaction on women's issues, writes TDH .
"Our countries are making joint efforts to strengthen interstate ties across their entire spectrum - in politics, economics and trade, in the humanitarian sphere," the ex-president said during a meeting with an expanded Azerbaijani delegation.
He invited Azerbaijan to take part in the International Conference "Dialogue is a Guarantee of Peace" scheduled for December 11.
Berdimuhamedov Sr. also called cooperation between Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan and Turkey in a trilateral format "relevant". Recall that on December 13-14, a summit will be held in Avaza with the participation of the presidents of these three countries.
Speaking about trade and economic partnership, he noted that the mutual trade turnover for 10 months of this year increased by almost 5 times compared to the same period in 2021. However, TDH did not give specific figures. Obviously, this happened due to the export of Turkmen gas to Azerbaijan under a swap scheme through Iran. A significant increase in exports of other products, which could lead to such an increase in trade, was not reported this year.
The ex-president noted that favorable conditions for investment activities are being created in Turkmenistan and offered to provide mutual legal support in creating optimal conditions for the implementation of joint investment projects.
It was also discussed about the transport corridor Afghanistan-Turkmenistan-Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey and the connection of the Caspian and Black Sea regions into a single transport corridor.
For more intensive use of the ports of Turkmenbashi and Baku (car-ferry and rail-ferry services), and cooperation on the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway route, it was proposed to intensify contacts in the field of transport.
As a result of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation between the Halk Maslakhaty of the Milli Gengesh of Turkmenistan and the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan was signed.
Then Serdar Berdimuhamedov awarded Sahiba Gafarova with the Order of Turkmenistan "Hyzmatdaslygy ösdürmäge gosandy üçin" "for her great personal contribution to the comprehensive development of Turkmen-Azerbaijani relations." It was presented by the president's father.
