Turkmenistan discloses sales volume on its commodity exchange

ASHGABAT: Transactions worth almost $15.6 million were concluded at Turkmenistan's State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange last week, Trend reports. According to the exchange, representatives of the business circles of Azerbaijan, Trkiye, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, and the UAE purchased petroleum bitumen, hydrotreated diesel fuel and liquefied gas produced by the Turkmennebit State Concern. At the same time, Turkmenistan also sold various types of textiles produced by the Turkmenpagta State Concern to foreign entrepreneurs on the exchange. Furthermore, Turkmenistan's entrepreneurs purchased petroleum bitumen, polypropylene, construction and textile products, and handmade carpets worth more than 77 million Turkmen manat ($22 million). At the last auction of the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange of Turkmenistan, 16 deals were sealed last week. Meanwhile, the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange was established in Turkmenistan on July 29, 1994, which is the most important body of state regulati on for export-import operations of goods.
