An art exhibition dedicated to the 31st anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan opened in Ashgabat

An exhibition of works by Turkmen artists dedicated to the 31st anniversary of Turkmenistan’s independence has opened at the State Museum of Fine Arts. For the most part, these are the works of students and graduates of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen State Art College.

The presented works reflect the history, traditions, customs and ethnography of the Turkmen people, as well as the historical changes that have taken place in Turkmenistan over 31 years of independent development. One cannot fail to note the frequent appeal of contemporary artists to the image of the Akhal-Teke horse, which is one of the main characters of the exhibition. In most of the paintings, the galloping Akhal-Teke horse personifies the connection of times – the past, present and future, as well as the confident pace of development of independent Turkmenistan.
