On March 20, a mass clean-up was held in Turkmenistan. This was the first event with Serdar Berdimuhamedov as President of the country. In this case, it is not the action itself that is interesting, but its changes or similarities with previous similar events.
It should be noted that, in general, the entire ceremony followed almost the same scenario as the previous ones, with minor minor changes.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived at the scene of the event in the same (or the same) city SUV Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 (base price $260,000) in white and green colors, in which Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov came to the cleanup on November 7, 2021. Only the car number differs - 01 21 AGA for Berdimuhamedov Sr., 01 22 AGA for the younger one. Perhaps the number changes depending on the year. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov drove the car on his own, while Serdar was brought by the driver.
The color differentiation of sports suits of officials has been preserved depending on the field of activity (members of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads of law enforcement agencies, khyakims and other officials wear uniforms of different colors). Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, who stood out for his unique jacket coloring as president, now donned the same purple uniform as the head of the Mejlis (lower house of parliament) and members of the cabinet. Note, however, that Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov "led" the column of officials in purple.
In news reports about the event, the director of the television report did not single out the father of the incumbent president. Two or three short episodes were shown where he was planting a tree along with the chairman of the Mejlis, Gulshat Mammedova .
Earlier, participants in such events chanted “Arkadaga shohrat!” to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. (“Glory to Arkadag!”), now this slogan has been changed to “Arkadagly Serdar shohrat!” (literally “Glory to Serdar with Arkadag!”, semantic translation “Glory to Serdar, who has Arkadag!”).
Like his father earlier, Serdar Berdimuhamedov planted (threw several shovels of earth and watered) a fairly large tree, around which carpets were laid, and a canopy was installed on top. The rest of the participants (including Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov) planted seedlings in the field.
The situation with medical masks is also unclear. On different frames, you can see that the participants of the subbotnik either put on masks or took them off under the same conditions. The President, who was wearing a mask when he arrived, did not put it on when he got into the car after the action ended. The students were wearing ordinary fabric masks, the officials were wearing FFP2 respirators.
