Berdymukhamedov fired khyakim of Avaz etrap and his deputy

On August 30, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of the khyakims of the velayats, the TDH state news agency reported .

Officials reported on preparations for the school year, wheat sowing and Independence Day celebrations.

At the meeting, the head of state announced the decision to release Berdimammet Annamammedov from the post of khyakim of Avaz etrap of the city of Turkmenbashi in the Balkan velayat and chairman of the Main Directorate for Management of the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

Dovlet Dzhumaev was appointed to replace him , who held the post of deputy khyakim of the Byzmeyinsky etrap of Ashgabat.

Khadzhigeldi Ordzhykov was relieved of his post as deputy khyakim of Avaz etrap. Instead of him, Gurbanmyrat Nyyazov was appointed , who had previously been deputy khyakim of the Etrek etrap of the Balkan velayat.

For what the khyakim of Avaza etrap and his deputy were dismissed, TDH does not specify. However, on the eve of the "Chronicle of Turkmenistan" reported that on August 26, the day after the government meeting devoted to the epidemiological situation in Turkmenistan , the police closed Avaza to tourists. On the 27th, hotel workers and police asked people to vacate their rooms. Those who left were warned that they needed to take a coronavirus test, without which they would not be able to leave Turkmenbashi.
