Seven new schools will open in Turkmenistan on September 1. Five of them are in Akhal

On August 30, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held a working meeting with the participation of the khyakims of the velayats, the TDH state news agency reported .

The khyakim of the Akhal velayat, Yazmukhammet Gurbanov, reported on preparations for the new academic year and for the presentation of computers to first-graders on behalf of the president. The official also reported on the start of wheat sowing on September 3 and on preparations for Independence Day. At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on August 27, the head of state gave his blessing to start sowing in the velayats on September 3.

The leaders of other regions also reported on the same issues. The head of state instructed them to supply grain growers with seeds and to use agricultural machinery at full capacity in the campaign, as well as to carefully prepare for the holiday dates.

It is reported that five new schools will be opened in Akhal velayat and two in Lebap.

Deputy Prime Minister Esenmyrat Orazgeldiev , who is in charge of the agro- industrial complex, also reported that Turkmenistan is preparing for two seasonal campaigns - sowing winter wheat and harvesting cotton.

The President noted that in order to obtain a rich harvest of potatoes and other crops, it is necessary to improve the quality and pace of care for them. In this regard, Orazgeldiyev was instructed to control agricultural activities in rice fields in Dashoguz and Lebap velayats, as well as in areas sown with sugar beets in Balkan and Mary velayats.

As Chronicle of Turkmenistan reported earlier , due to the drought, the country failed to achieve good potato harvests. In particular, in the Dashoguz velayat, brigades of representatives of etrap khyakimliks, heads of agricultural associations and agronomists visit potato fields and draw up acts on "crops that have not sprung up due to climatic cataclysms and lack of water".
