The delegation of Turkmenistan took part in the mourning events in connection with the death of the President of the United Arab Emirates

The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by the Chairman of the Upper House of Parliament Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov took part in the memorial events in Abu Dhabi in connection with the death of the UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The ex-president of Turkmenistan held meetings in the Emirates with the UAE Minister of Energy and Strategic Development Suheil Al Mazrui, the eldest son of the deceased – Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Deputy Prime Minister, Minister for Presidential Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

During the meetings, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, on behalf of the people and the President of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, expressed condolences and support to the leadership and people of the United Arab Emirates.

Then the speaker of the upper house of the Turkmen parliament visited the Sheikh Zayed Mosque, the founder of the United Arab Emirates. A funeral service was held here. After that, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov left for his homeland.
