At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on September 3, Deputy Prime Minister for Culture and Media Myahrijemal Mammedova reported on the preparation of events in honor of the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
In particular, the official reported on the opening of a new Government Tribune, located along Kopetdag Avenue, the state information agency TDH reports .
The opening ceremony will take place on September 16. Now the object is being designed " with the active use of advanced digital technologies ." “This will give the festive events planned to be held at the tribune a bright color and demonstrate the triumph of the era of power and happiness, ” notes TDH.
On September 27, the main events in honor of the Independence Day will be held at the rostrum - a military parade and a review of the successes and achievements of the sectors of the economy and the social complex.
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov ordered at a high level to prepare for the celebration and "prepare proposals on determining the exact time of the opening ceremony of the Government Tribune on September 16."
The government rostrum is being built by the Russian company Vozrozhdenie and the French Bouygues Bâtiment. It was supposed to open in 2020, ahead of the 25th anniversary of neutrality. Its cost is $ 109.3 million, and the road in front of it is 64.66 million manat ($ 18.5 million at the state rate or $ 2.12 million at the “black market” rate).
