The volume of capital investments in the Investment Program will amount to 40 billion manats

At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on February 11, Deputy Prime Minister Charymyrat Purchekov , who is in charge of the construction, industrial and energy complex, presented the Investment Program of Turkmenistan for 2022, the state information agency TDH reports .

Earlier, the official presented the document at a cabinet meeting on January 28, but then he was ordered to finalize it.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the considered construction program includes a large amount of work, and "the volume of capital investments from all sources of financing will be about 40 billion manats" ($11.4 billion at the state rate and $2 billion at the "black market" rate).

Berdimuhamedov instructed the official to strictly control the construction of industrial and social facilities, especially the new administrative center of the Akhal velayat, the Turkmenabat-Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi highway and Ashgabat City. They also spoke about the completion of the construction of the power line Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan.

In addition, it was instructed to intensify the construction of the second stage of cement plants and the production of iron products, inert and finishing materials.

For the development of the chemical industry, it was instructed to attract large amounts of foreign investment, as well as to increase the production capacity of the enterprises of the State Concern "Türkmenhimiýa" through their reconstruction and modernization.

“The agricultural industry must be provided with the necessary mineral fertilizers,” the president said and instructed the country to produce those mineral fertilizers that are imported from abroad.

After that, to the applause of the meeting participants , Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Resolution on approval of the Investment Program for 2022.
