ASHGABAT: Turkmenistan is negotiating the opening of trading houses in Tajikistan, Japan, and other countries, Trend reports. According to the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, these negotiations are being conducted in order to successfully implement the tasks set out in the 'Program for the Development of Foreign Economic Business of Turkmenistan for 2020-2025' and the 'Foreign Trade Strategy of Turkmenistan for 2021-2030'. The Turkmen Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs notes that trade and economic relations between Turkmenistan and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East, Europe, and Latin America are actively developing on a bilateral and multilateral basis. Joint projects are being successfully implemented in such important areas as the digitalization of the economy and its development through diversification, support for the private sector, and transit corridors. At the same time, it was emphasized that Turkmenistan is actively implementing the best practices of the trading system of foreign countries, within which the trading houses of Turkmenistan abroad are of great importance, the number of which is increasing. Meanwhile, at the end of February this year, Turkmenistan also discussed with Tajikistan the opening of a trading house in the city of Dushanbe to expand economic ties. This issue was discussed during a working visit to Dushanbe by the Turkmen delegation, where she met with the Head of the International Economic Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, Dilshod Sharifi.
