The International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) has declared 2024 the Year of the Great Poet and Thinker of the Turkic World Magtymguly Fragi.
The organization unanimously adopted such a decision at a meeting in the Turkish city of Bursa on the proposal of the Turkmen side in honor of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Turkmen and world poetry, which will be celebrated in 2024.
This decision, reflected in the final document of TURKSOY, testifies to the success of the policy of Turkmenistan in the field of culture, aimed at popularizing the cultural heritage of the Turkmen people in the world.
Also at the meeting of the International Organization of Turkic Culture in Bursa, it was decided to declare the ancient Turkmen city of Anau the cultural capital of the Turkic world in 2024.
