Celebrations were held in the capital of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the Harvest Festival, widely celebrated in the country , symbolizing the summing up of the agricultural year.
The open-air exposition, prepared by the relevant departments, showed samples of products from cotton, grain, livestock, food and textile industries. The atmosphere of a great holiday was created by the performances of creative teams glorifying the labor of farmers and the generosity of the Turkmen land.
On the eve of the holiday, a ceremony was held in Ashgabat to honor tenants, machine operators, agronomists, breeders and other agricultural specialists who made a great contribution to the development of the country’s agro-industrial complex. In accordance with the decree of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, the leaders of the agricultural sector, who achieved high results this year, were awarded medals “For the Love of the Motherland” and valuable gifts.
On the occasion of the Harvest Festival in all regions of Turkmenistan, solemn meetings and honoring of the foremost farmers, as well as concerts, sports competitions and other cultural events were held.
